Program Innovation, Design, and Implementation

Miske Witt & Associates Inc. partners with agencies and ministries of education in innovative program development. Prior to designing a conceptual framework and road map for program implementation, we carefully consider the unique country context and we review current relevant research.

MWAI is a proven leader in taking the Child-Friendly Schools (CFS) rights-based approach from theory to practice. Since 2006 we have worked with UNICEF and with ministries of education in 10 countries of Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East to develop a comprehensive CFS approach to improve educational quality. We conduct in-depth training on CFS principles and dimensions and CFS standards and indicators. We then work collaboratively with national teams to conduct baseline studies, develop action plans with stakeholders, and monitor CFS implementation from the school to the national level. As a result of this work, millions of children have benefited from increasingly child-centered, child-friendly classroom environments.
