Conceptual Framework Development and Report Writing

MWAI partners with agencies and ministries of education to design conceptual frameworks and roadmaps that deepen stakeholder understanding and lead to effective and sustainable program implementation.

In 2010, MWAI prepared a comprehensive report on developing standards for Quality Basic Education in the CEE/CIS region for the UNICEF CEE/CIS Regional Office. The report included a conceptual framework which defined terms, offered a conceptual foundation, and provided a common language for countries in the region as they developed their own standards. The roadmap provided countries with a participatory process in developing, refining, or revising Child Friendly Schools/Quality Basic Education system-wide standards.

MWAI associates have also created conceptual frameworks with accompanying evidence-based reports for developing a more inclusive education system (Trinidad and Tobago, 2008); and for teaching and learning mathematics and literacy in Macedonia (2009).  In 2013, MWAI worked UNICEF and with the Agency for standards development to design a framework for 21st Century Student Learning Outcomes in Literacy for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
